10. What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Most people can, but just to make sure, I require that you have at least one regression/past life
regression session first. During this session we also fill out intake forms, get to know one another and conduct some simple hypnotic
suggestibility tests that will tell me how you best function in a relaxed state of mind. This session may be scheduled with me or
with a qualified past life regression hypnotherapist in your area. If you do see another therapist I ask that you give your consent
for me to speak with that person before your LBL session. You can read more about this in the section about Preparing for a Life Between
Lives (Spiritual Regression) session.
Relaxation and a calm, focused mind is essential for a rewarding regression or Life Between Lives
session. Letting go of preconceptions, expectations and previous experiences or knowledge will allow you to have a genuine experience.
In fact, the ability to let go and simply be with and in the experience is a hallmark of a significant LBL or regression session.
Your analytical, logical, "left-brain" mind does an amazing job of serving you in day to day life but will only slow down your experience
during a session. In more extreme cases, it can actually prevent you from having a regression or LBL experience. You will have plenty
of time for analysis after the session. If you are an analytical individual or are currently experiencing much stress in your life
I highly recommend a daily practice of relaxation, visualization and stress reduction.
11. Will I wake up fully? Is hypnosis
dangerous?
Contrary to popular myth it's easy for a Hypnotherapist to wake a subject under hypnosis. The difficult part is getting
them under!
Also, contrary to popular myth, the unconscious mind is not a dangerous can of worms or a time bomb waiting to go off.
If it was, sleep and meditation would be a very dangerous activity! There are very few cases even of stage hypnotists, who wantonly
break every therapeutic principle in the book, damaging their subjects. In the hands of an LBL therapist hypnosis simply is not dangerous.
12. What if I didn't have a past life?
It is said that there are more people alive on earth today than have ever lived on this
planet before. Therefore, it seems logical to expect that there are many people alive here today who did not have a past life here
before. Under hypnosis
13. Do I have to believe in it first?
No prior knowledge of, or belief in, reincarnation
or spirituality is required. There is no need to read one of Dr Newton's books beforehand. Indeed clients are asked during the induction
to let go of any theories they may already have and just allow the experience to unfold peacefully.
